RISE Project

Referral, Intervention, Support, and Engagement

The Cambria County Commissioners have approved a contract with Reaching Educational Achievements with Clinical Mental Health, Inc. (R.E.A.C.H.) to provide clinical mental health counseling in Cambria County’s 13 public school districts and two Catholic high schools.

The county initiative, referred to as the RISE Project (Referral, Intervention, Support, and Engagement), will be administered by the Cambria County Drug & Alcohol Program and will place a Masters-level clinical mental health counselor in each district’s high school building.  In addition to providing direct services to students, R.E.A.C.H. clinicians will also function as school-based field experience site supervisors for paid interns from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s (IUP) masters and doctoral level clinical mental health counseling programs.

The RISE project is fully staffed. If you are a high school student in a Cambria County public school or attend Bishop McCort or Bishop Carrol, R.E.A.C.H. is available to you, free of charge.
Ask your school guidance counselor or principal to connect you.

You can find the R.E.A.C.H. Clinician who is located in your district by clicking on the "Our Staff" tab, and finding your school name.
